Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz Amaretto liqueur
  • ¾ oz Cognac or Brandy
  • ¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • ¼ oz Sugarcane Syrup (or simple syrup) (optional, for balance)
  • Ice cubes
  • Sugar for rimming the glass (optional)
  • Lemon twist or orange peel for garnish

Instructions

  • Rub a lemon wedge around the rim and dip it in sugar.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Add Amaretto, Cognac (or Brandy), fresh lemon juice, and sugarcane syrup (if using).
  • Shake well for about 15 seconds until chilled.
  • Strain into a coupe or martini glass.
  • Garnish with a lemon twist or orange peel.

Notes

  • Use a mid-range brandy instead of Cognac to keep it budget-friendly.
  • If you prefer a tangier drink, reduce the syrup or add a splash more lemon juice.
  • Try Disaronno or a store-brand Amaretto for affordability.
