1 ½ oz Amaretto liqueur ¾ oz Cognac or Brandy ¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice ¼ oz Sugarcane Syrup (or simple syrup) (optional, for balance) Ice cubes Sugar for rimming the glass (optional) Lemon twist or orange peel for garnish
Rub a lemon wedge around the rim and dip it in sugar.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Add Amaretto, Cognac (or Brandy), fresh lemon juice, and sugarcane syrup (if using).
Shake well for about 15 seconds until chilled.
Strain into a coupe or martini glass.
Garnish with a lemon twist or orange peel.
Use a mid-range brandy instead of Cognac to keep it budget-friendly.
If you prefer a tangier drink, reduce the syrup or add a splash more lemon juice.
Try Disaronno or a store-brand Amaretto for affordability.
