Ingredients

  • 4 ripe avocados
  • 1 small red onion finely diced
  • 1-2 tomatoes diced
  • 1-2 jalapeños seeded and minced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper for extra heat optional
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin optional
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese for a creamy twist optional

Instructions

  • Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  • Mash the avocados with a fork or potato masher until you achieve your desired consistency.
  • Add the diced red onion, tomatoes, jalapeños, minced garlic, and chopped cilantro to the mashed avocados.
  • Squeeze the lime juice over the mixture and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add cayenne pepper and ground cumin for an extra kick. Mix everything together until well combined.
  • For a creamy texture, fold in crumbled feta cheese. (Optional)
  • Taste and adjust the seasonings as needed. If you like it spicier, add more jalapeños or cayenne pepper.
  • Cover the guacamole with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface to keep it from turning brown. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Notes

If you don't want to use jalapeños peppers, you can choose serrano peppers instead.
