Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups whole milk or your preferred milk
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or dark chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 oz bourbon whiskey, or spiced rum (1 oz per serving)
  • Whipped cream, marshmallows, or chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until warm but not boiling.
  • Whisk in the cocoa powder and sugar until fully dissolved.
  • Add the chocolate chips and stir until melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Pour 1 oz of your chosen spirit into each mug.
  • Divide the hot chocolate evenly among the mugs and stir gently.
  • Top with whipped cream, marshmallows, or a sprinkle of chocolate shavings.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
