- 8 - 10 fresh lychee (peeled and pitted) or 1/3 cup canned lychee juice
- ½ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 - 2 tsp simple syrup agave nectar, or honey
- Ice cubes
- Orange slices for garnish
- 1 - 2 whole lychees for garnish (optional)
In a blender, blend the lychee flesh with 1-2 tablespoons of water until smooth.
Strain the puree through a fine-mesh sieve, pressing on the solids to extract as much juice as possible.
In a glass, combine the prepared lychee juice and fresh orange juice.
Taste the mixture, starting with 1 teaspoon, and stir well until dissolved.
Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the sparkling lychee citrus mixture over the ice.
Garnish each glass with a fresh orange slice or a whole lychee.
