Lychee juice recipe
Lychee juice, also known as litchi juice, is a refreshing beverage made from the lychee fruit, which is native to Asia. The juice is characterized by its sweet, floral flavor and is often enjoyed chilled.
These little fruits are packed with a bunch of benefits: Vitamin C gives my immune system a boost and acts as a natural source of antioxidants to restore that healthy glow to my skin.
This is exactly what I need to kick that under-the-weather feeling. It may also reduce cancer risk due to its polyphenol antioxidants, improve liver health by potentially protecting against liver damage, and support heart health by helping reduce the risk of stroke and heart disease.
However, lychee juice should be consumed in moderation, as it has been linked to health risks in undernourished children due to a compound that can cause low blood sugar. Here’s how to make Lychee Juice – my favorite juice for a stronger immune system:
Orange Lychee Juice Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups fresh lychee peeled and deseeded
- 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 cup sparkling water
- 1 tsp honey adjust to taste
- Juice of 1 lime
- Handful of fresh mint leaves
- Ice cubes for serving
- Lime slices for garnish
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring 1/2 cup of water to a gentle simmer. Add half of the fresh mint leaves and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Allow it to cool and then strain the infused mint water into a bowl.
- In a blender, combine the lychee, freshly squeezed orange juice, lime juice, honey, and the infused mint water. Blend until you achieve a smooth and flavorful mixture.
- Transfer the lychee-citrus blend to a pitcher and add sparkling water. Stir gently to combine.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the sparkling lychee citrus mixture over the ice.
- Garnish each glass with lime slices for an extra burst of citrus.

If you don’t like the taste of this Lychee Fruit Juice, you can opt for other drinks that are high in Vitamin C like Guava Juice or Orange Mango Juice.
Variations
Besides orange, you can mix the lychee with other fruits and ingredients:

- Ingredients: 1.5 cups of lychee brine, 3 lychees, ice.
- Instructions: Freeze the brine and lychees for 1-2 hours, then blend until slushy
2. Tropical version

- Instructions: Blend lychees to make a puree, mix with water and lemon juice, and serve over ice
4. Coconut Lychee Blend
Coconut-lychee blend combines tropical elements for enhanced refreshment. My preferred ratio:
Component | Proportion | Effect |
Lychee juice | 60% | Primary flavor |
Coconut water | 40% | Hydration boost |
Mint garnish | Optional | Aromatic finish |
5. Rose-Infused Lychee Juice
Rose-infused lychee juice elevates the traditional recipe through floral enhancement. The optimal preparation ratio consists of:
Ingredient | Quantity | Purpose |
Fresh lychee juice | 250ml | Base |
Rose water | 5-7ml | Floral notes |
Simple syrup | 15ml | Sweetness balance |
Filtered water | 50ml | Dilution |
6. Sparkling Variations: Sparkling elements add an effervescent dimension to lychee juice. You can add to the base lychee juice with:
- Soda water
- Sparkling water
- Sprite
- Coconut sparkling water
