Ingredients

  • 12 large jalapeño peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 12 small candy eyes for eyes

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes (wear gloves to avoid irritation).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, ensuring they are well filled.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Cut each triangle into thin strips to create "bandages."
  • Carefully wrap the strips of crescent dough around each stuffed jalapeño, leaving a small opening for the cheese to peek through.
  • Arrange the wrapped jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  • Place candy eyes on top of each popper to create eyes.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your spooky Mummy Jalapeño Poppers!
