- 1 lb Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 small onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x9-inch casserole dish.
In a large pot, bring water to a boil and blanch Brussels sprouts for 3-4 minutes, then drain and set aside.
In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté the onion and garlic until soft and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
Stir in heavy cream, cheddar, and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
Combine the Brussels sprouts with the cheese sauce and mix well.
Pour the mixture into the prepared casserole dish and top with breadcrumbs.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the casserole is bubbling.
Let it cool slightly before serving.
