Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and celery, and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute.
Add the crushed tomatoes, broth, vodka (if using), Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, lemon juice, horseradish (if using), celery salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 15-20 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
For a smoother texture, use an immersion blender to blend the soup until smooth. You can leave it chunky if you prefer more texture. (optional)
