Ingredients
  

  • 1 shot (30ml) espresso or ½ cup strong brewed coffee
  • ¾ cup milk (whole, oat, or almond)
  • 1 oz amaretto liqueur
  • 1 tbsp sugarcane syrup or brown sugar, optional
  • Whipped cream optional, for topping
  • Toasted almond flakes optional, for garnish
  • Ground cinnamon or cocoa powder optional, for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Brew the espresso using an espresso machine or make strong coffee using your preferred method.
  • Steam the milk until hot and frothy using a frother, steam wand, or by heating it on the stove and whisking vigorously.
  • Mix the espresso and amaretto in a heatproof mug. Add sugarcane syrup if you prefer a sweeter taste.
  • Pour the steamed milk over the espresso-amaretto mixture, holding back the froth with a spoon and then spooning it on top.
  • Top with whipped cream, toasted almond flakes, and a sprinkle of cinnamon or cocoa powder if desired.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Substitute amaretto liqueur with ½ tsp almond extract for a similar nutty flavor.
  • For a stronger coffee flavor, use a double shot of espresso.
