Apple Ginger Mojito: Crisp and Refreshing

One of my favorite drinks to make at home is the Apple Ginger Mojito. It’s light, tangy, and full of fresh flavors that make every sip exciting. In this post, I’ll show you how to make this fruity mojito at home with simple ingredients.

Apple Ginger Mojito Recipe

Apple Ginger Mojito is a delightful, modern spin on the traditional mojito. It blends the tart freshness of apple with the tingly warmth of ginger. The gentle bite of ginger balances the sweetness of apple juice and the zing of lime. All are lifted by sparkling bubbles and fresh mint.

Easy and quick Apple Ginger Mojito recipe

For the apple flavor, you can use apple juice, cider, or even muddled apple slices. Whichever you choose, this drink always feels light, refreshing, and perfect for any occasion.

This cocktail pairs well with light Mediterranean fare, like grilled chicken skewers, lemony hummus with pita, or a crisp Greek salad. Enjoy it alongside a cheese board featuring brie, sharp cheddar, or camembert for a blend of creamy, tangy, and sweet.

For heartier pairings, this mojito stands up beautifully to spicy Asian dishes like sesame noodles, Thai spring rolls, or sushi platters. It also plays nicely with roasted pork tenderloin or apple-stuffed chicken for a main course meal.

As for snacks, you can enjoy the beverage with salted almonds, rosemary focaccia, or apple tartlets on the side.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium apple sliced thinly, for garnish & muddling
  • ½ cup apple juice (unsweetened preferred)
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger finely grated
  • 8-10 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tsp sugar or honey
  • 4 oz white rum
  • ½ cup soda water (club soda)
  • Ice cubes as needed

Instructions

  • In a sturdy glass, muddle the mint leaves, ginger, lime juice, and sugar together to release aromas and flavor.
  • Add apple slices and lightly press them with the muddler.
  • Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  • Pour in the white rum and apple juice. Stir well.
  • Top with soda water and give it a gentle stir.
  • Garnish with extra apple slices, mint sprigs, and a thin slice of lime. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, skip the rum and add more apple juice & soda water.
  • Adjust sweetness with sugar, honey, or agave syrup.
  • For stronger ginger flavor, muddle more ginger or add a splash of ginger ale instead of club soda.
  • Do not prepare far in advance, as mint and apple will oxidize.
