I’m delighted to welcome you to Happy Baking Days, a food blog that aims to provide simple and delicious recipes, as well as stories and curiosities from my kitchen.
I’m Katy. I have started Happy Baking Days for several reasons, but mainly because a wonderful group of bloggers – led by ‘head chef’ Family Foodie – have welcomed me into a group called Sunday Supper, which features a weekly Twitter chat all about food. The kind comments I received about my recipes finally gave me the confidence to start this blog.
Happy Baking Days aims to be as light and lovely as it sounds. I have amateur baking knowledge gained from years spent in the kitchen with my grandma and mum, where I graduated slowly from dusting work surfaces with flour and licking the spatula to the finer arts of pastry and meringue. Now in my own kitchen, I put all those years of training into practice, experimenting with recipes and ingredients from around the world.
