Ingredients

  • 2 oz silver tequila affordable but smooth tequila works best
  • 1 oz Cointreau or any good-quality orange liqueur
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice about 1 lime
  • ½ oz simple syrup or sugarcane syrup for a richer flavor
  • ½ oz olive brine adjust to taste
  • 1 oz fresh orange juice optional, for a slightly sweeter twist
  • Ice
  • Salt for rimming the glass
  • Lime wedge & green olives for garnish

Instructions

  • Rim a chilled martini glass with salt by rubbing a lime wedge around the edge and dipping it in salt.
  • In a shaker filled with ice, add tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, simple syrup, olive brine, and orange juice (if using).
  • Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain the mixture into the prepared martini glass.
  • Skewer a few green olives onto a cocktail pick and place them in the glass. Add a lime wedge on the rim for an extra touch. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a less salty version, reduce the olive brine or skip the salted rim.
  • If you prefer a smoother sweetness, use sugarcane syrup instead of simple syrup.
