- 2 cups water
- 1 black tea bag or green tea bag or 1 tsp loose black tea/green tea
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1-2 tsp honey adjust to taste
- 1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger optional for a warming kick
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2-3 whole cloves
- 1 small stick of cinnamon optional
- Lemon slices for garnish optional
In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
Add cloves, ground cinnamon, and fresh ginger. Simmer for 2 minutes.
Add the tea bag (or loose tea in an infuser). Turn off the heat and let it steep for 3–5 minutes.
Remove tea bag (or strain). Stir in lemon juice and honey.
Pour into cups and garnish with lemon slices if desired. Serve warm.
