Ingredients
  

  • 1 large cucumber peeled if not organic
  • 1 green apple cored
  • 1- inch piece fresh ginger peeled
  • 1 lemon peeled
  • 2 cups fresh spinach or kale loosely packed
  • 1 stalk celery
  • ½ cup water optional, for blending
  • Ice cubes optional, for serving

Instructions
 

  • Wash all produce thoroughly.
  • Chop ingredients, add to blender with ½ cup water, and blend until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve or nut milk bag if desired. If using a juicer: Feed all ingredients through the juicer one at a time.
  • Pour into glasses over ice and enjoy immediately for best flavor and nutrients.

Notes

  • Add a pinch of cayenne for a metabolism boost.
  • Store it in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
  • Swap apple for pear, or add a small piece of pineapple for sweetness.
