A luscious, creamy homemade liqueur that blends the sweetness of white chocolate with the warmth of spirits. This indulgent drink is perfect for sipping, adding to cocktails, or using in desserts.
1cupwhite chocolate chips or finely chopped white chocolate
1cupheavy cream
1cupwhole milk
1cupvodka
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1/2cupsugaradjust to taste
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine the white chocolate and heavy cream.
Heat over low to medium heat, stirring constantly, until the white chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Be careful not to let it boil.
Add the whole milk and sugar to the saucepan.
Continue to heat and stir until the sugar is fully dissolved and the mixture is well combined. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
Once the chocolate mixture is cool, stir in the vodka and vanilla extract.
Mix until everything is thoroughly combined.
For a smoother consistency, you can strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove any undissolved chocolate pieces.
Pour the liqueur into a clean, sterilized bottle or jar with a tight-fitting lid.
Seal the bottle and store it in the refrigerator. Allow the flavors to meld for at least 24 hours before serving for the best taste.
Notes
If you prefer a less sweet liqueur, reduce the amount of sugar.
You can experiment with additional flavors like almond or hazelnut extract for a different twist.
Because this liqueur contains dairy, the shelf life of this homemade chocolate liqueur is not long. It should be kept refrigerated and consumed within 2-3 weeks.
