Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 1- inch piece fresh ginger peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1–2 teaspoons honey optional
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice optional

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  • Add the sliced ginger and reduce the heat. Simmer for about 10 minutes to allow the flavor to infuse.
  • Remove from heat and strain the tea into mugs.
  • Stir in honey and lemon juice to taste.

Notes

  • Add a cinnamon stick or turmeric for extra warmth and health benefits.
  • You can refrigerate extra tea for up to 2 days and reheat as needed.
