Ingredients
  

  • 36 Oreo cookies regular or double-stuffed
  • 3.9 ounces instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted (1 stick)
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or non-stick cooking spray.
  • Crush the Oreo cookies into coarse crumbs. You can use a food processor or place the cookies in a zip-top bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
  • Spread half of the crushed Oreos evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until smooth and thickened, about 2 minutes.
  • Pour the pudding mixture evenly over the layer of crushed Oreos in the baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the remaining crushed Oreos over the pudding layer.
  • Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the Oreos.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
