For the Cake
- 1 ½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (120ml) milk
- ⅓ cup (80ml) vegetable oil or melted butter
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp salt
For the Cinnamon Streusel Topping
- ⅓ cup (70g) brown sugar
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 tbsp cold butter cubed
- ¼ cup (30g) all-purpose flour
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch (20x20 cm) baking pan.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, mix milk, oil (or butter), egg, and vanilla.
Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, flour
Cut in the cold butter using a fork or your fingers until the mixture becomes crumbly.
Pour the cake batter into the greased pan and sprinkle the streusel topping evenly over it.
Bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
