Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups diced watermelon seeds removed
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 2 tbsp lime juice about 1 lime
  • 1-2 tbsp sugar or honey optional, to taste
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • In a blender, combine the diced watermelon, cold water, and lime juice. Blend until smooth.
  • Taste the mixture and add sugar or honey if desired, blending again to mix well.
  • If you prefer a smoother drink, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove the pulp.
  • Pour the Agua Fresca into glasses over ice cubes. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

  • Use lemon instead of lime and other herbs instead of mint, such as basil, rosemary, or cilantro.
