Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka/gin e.g. Grey Goose
  • 1 oz sour apple liqueur e.g. Pucker
  • 1/2 oz triple sec
  • 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Green apple slice or twist of lemon peel for garnish

Instructions

  • Chill your martini glass. You can do this by placing it in the freezer for about 10 minutes before starting to make the cocktail. A chilled glass will keep your Appletini refreshingly cool.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. This is where you'll mix all the ingredients together.
  • Pour 2 ounces of vodka, 1 ounce of sour apple liqueur, and 1/2 ounce of triple sec into the shaker.
  • Squeeze the juice of half a lemon (approximately 1/2 ounce) directly into the shaker. Make sure to catch any seeds.
  • Close the cocktail shaker and shake it for about 15-20 seconds. This will chill the ingredients and create a frothy texture.
  • Take your chilled martini glass from the freezer and strain the cocktail mixture into it. Use a strainer to catch any ice or pulp from the lemon juice.
  • For a final touch, garnish your Appletini with a thin green apple slice or a twist of lemon peel.

Notes

  • Add a splash of simple syrup for a sweeter version of the Appletini.
  • Reduce the amount of sour apple liqueur and triple sec for a less sweet and more tart cocktail,  slightly.
