Ingredients

  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 cup milk or dairy-free alternative
  • 2 shot of espresso or ½ cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • Cinnamon stick or powder optional
  • Whipped cream optional

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, heat the apple cider and milk over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
  • Stir in cinnamon and maple syrup.
  • Pour coffee into mugs, then top with the hot apple cider mixture.
  • Add whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a cinnamon stick or apple slice if desired.

Notes

  • For extra indulgence, froth the milk before adding it for a café-style latte.
  • You can replace espresso with instant coffee if you don’t have an espresso machine.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup (or skip entirely if your cider is sweet enough).
  • A dairy-free version works wonderfully with oat milk for a creamy texture.
