Raclette Sandwich: Melt-in-Your-Mouth Bliss

Raclette cheese sandwich on the table

Raclette Sandwich is one of my favorites in the winter. This sandwich easily wins hearts with its melty cheese cascading over crusty bread and savory fillings. One bite and I knew my cheese sandwich standards would never be the same.

Raclette sandwich recipe

The raclette sandwich features melted raclette cheese, a semi-firm cow’s milk cheese from Switzerland. This type of cheese has a rich, creamy texture and a flavor that can range from mild to sharp, making it a versatile ingredient in many dishes, particularly sandwiches.

Raclette sandwich originates from traditional Swiss alpine cuisine. In the Swiss Alps, raclette cheese was melted by campfire and scraped onto bread and potatoes. This Swiss-inspired creation has transformed from a traditional Alpine dish into a modern street food.

Like the Italian grinder, the Raclette sandwiches are easy to make. You just need to melt the cheese and layer the ingredients. Here’s how to make the Raclette sandwich:
