Mexican Churros Recipe
Mexican churros are a popular dessert and snack. They are made from fried dough, coated in sugar and cinnamon They are often served with chocolate sauce, dulce de leche, or cajeta (caramelized goat’s milk).

Originating from Spain, churros became a staple in Mexican cuisine. You can find these snacks on the streets, at markets, fairs, festivals, or celebrations. Their crispy exterior and soft, doughy interior make them a universally adored sweet snack.
Mexican churros pair well with Dulce de Leche for richness or grilled meats for a sweet-savory contrast. Fresh fruits, ice cream, or whipped cream and chocolate ganache add lighter or luxurious touches.
Non-alcoholic options like horchata, chai tea, sparkling apple cider, or Mexican hot chocolate complement churros’ flavors. Café con Leche and cold brew also work well. For alcoholic pairings, you can choose sweet wines, stouts, or fruit beers.
