Apricot juice is one of my favorite ways to enjoy apricots! The vibrant orange hue and the sweet, slightly tart flavor make them a delightful treat. Inspired by the success of my homemade apricot jam, I decided to create this refreshing beverage to share the fruit’s deliciousness in a different form.

Apricot juice recipe
Apricot juice is a refreshing beverage made primarily from apricots either fresh or dried.
- Fresh apricots are chopped and blended. The mixture is then pureed and strained to remove the pulp. It’s a light and refreshing drink.
- The dried apricot paste is soaked in water overnight, blended, and served chilled. This version is particularly popular during Ramadan and offers a viscous, sweet, and tart flavor profile
The drink has lots of nutritional benefits:
- Vitamin A and C
- Minerals: potassium, magnesium, iron, copper
- Antioxidants
- Beta-carotene
- Lutein
- Zeaxanthin
- Flavonoids

How to serve
Besides drinking this fruit juice alone, you can use it in different ways:
1. Mix it into Apricot Cocktail
2. Blends with Other Fruits
Blending apricot juice with other fruit juices (like pineapple juice, cranberry, or pomegranate juice) can create unique flavor combinations and boost nutritional value. Some of my favorite blends include:
Blend | Ratio | Benefits |
Apricot-Orange | 1:1 | Vitamin C boost |
Apricot-Pomegranate | 2:1 | Antioxidant powerhouse |
Apricot-Pear | 3:1 | Fiber-rich blend |
Apricot-Mango | 1:1 | Tropical twist with added vitamins |
These blends not only taste delicious but also provide a wider range of nutrients, making them a great choice for those looking to diversify their juice intake.
3. In Cooking
Apricot juice and concentrate can elevate various culinary creations.
- Marinades for poultry and pork
- Apricot salad dressings for a fruity twist

- Finish with butter and herbs
One of my go-to recipes is an Apricot Glazed Chicken, where the juice concentrate forms the base of a sticky, sweet-savory glaze that caramelizes beautifully on grilled chicken.

Apricot juice enhances baked goods’ moisture and flavor.

Health benefits
Apricot juice isn’t just delicious; it comes with health benefits, boosting the immune system and promoting healthy skin with vitamins A and C.
1. Digestive Health: The soluble fiber in apricot juice aids in maintaining regular bowel movements and supporting a healthy gut microbiome.
2. Eye Health
The high vitamin A content in the juice contributes significantly to eye health. Beta-carotene, a precursor to vitamin A, is converted by the body into retinol, which is essential for good vision. Regular consumption of apricot juice may help:
- Reduce the risk of age-related macular degeneration
- Improve night vision
- Maintain overall eye health
3. Skin Benefits: The vitamin C content promotes collagen production, while vitamin E acts as a natural moisturizer.
4. Potential Anti-inflammatory Properties
The antioxidants may possess anti-inflammatory properties. These compounds can help reduce chronic inflammation, which is linked to various health issues. While more research is needed, incorporating apricot juice into a balanced diet may contribute to overall inflammatory balance.
