Orange and carrot bring a dynamic duo of flavors to the table—sweetness from the orange and earthiness from the carrot. I once combined these two flavors in my carrot cake with orange glaze. The carrots contribute a moist texture and a subtle sweetness to the cake, while the orange glaze adds a zesty, tangy kick that elevates the overall flavor profile. That’s why I decided to combine these 2 ingredients again, in a drink but with a more simple recipe.

It’s a win-win for your taste buds and your health. Here is how to make carrot orange juice:
Ingredients
- 4-5 medium-sized carrots peeled and chopped
- 2-3 large oranges peeled and segmented
- 1 small lemon juiced (optional, for added tang)
- 1 teaspoon ginger peeled and grated (optional, for a hint of spice)
- Ice cubes
- Water as needed
Instructions
- Use a citrus juicer or your hands to extract the juice from the oranges. Remove any seeds and pulp, leaving only the fresh orange juice.
- In a blender, combine the chopped carrots, lemon and orange juice, and the grated ginger.
- Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Place a fine mesh strainer over a bowl or pitcher to strain the juice. Pour the blended carrot-orange mixture through the strainer to separate the pulp from the juice. Use the back of a spoon to press down on the pulp to extract as much juice as possible.
- If you prefer a thinner juice, you can add a bit of water to the strained juice and mix well. The amount of water you add will depend on your desired consistency.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the freshly strained carrot-orange juice over the ice. Give the juice a quick stir before serving. You can garnish with a small slice of orange or a twist of orange peel if desired.
Notes
– This juice is best consumed fresh to retain its flavour and nutritional benefits. For a cooler and more refreshing experience, you can enjoy it with ice or chill it in the refrigerator before drinking.
– You can store carrot orange juice in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. However, you should drink it within 24 hours. Shake or stir before serving, as natural separation may occur over time.
– You can make your own carrot orange juice recipe with the addition of some fruits and vetgetables. With the ingredients above, you can add:
- 1 apple, cored and sliced to make carrot orange apple juice.
- 1 medium beetroot to make sweet and tangy beetroot carrot orange juice.
- 1 cup pineapple chunks to make pineapple carrot orange juice.
- 1 small piece of fresh turmeric (about 1 inch) to make classic carrot orange tumeric juice.
- 2 celery sticks, peeled and chopped, to make orange carrot celery juice.
– This beverage is versatile and can be enjoyed as a standalone drink, a component of a balanced breakfast, or a complementary side to meals.
